This imperial black rye IPA was brewed with four types of rye and two types of wheat. It features copious amounts of Motueka, Citra, Citra Cryo, Amarillo and Amarillo Hop Hash. The Black Album has complex aromas of resinous pine, chocolate-covered cherry, black coffee and spicy pumpernickel. It has a velvety-smooth mouthfeel with a mélange of rye bread, fig, black cherry, espresso, caramel and pine flavors. At 9.2% abv, it finishes with a warming alcohol and lingering hop bitterness.
